Familia Romana Chapters 21–26
This online Latin course is intended for students with a working knowledge of Latin grammar and a broad range of vocabulary. By reading Familia Romana and engaging in Latin conversation, students will develop their understanding of more advanced grammar. Among other topics, they will study the perfect and pluperfect indicative (active and passive), the present passive imperative, the perfect and future infinitives (active and passive), the perfect passive participle, the future participle (active and passive), the supine, and the gerund. Additionally, students will begin exploring Greek and Roman mythology through the myths of Theseus and the Minotaur, and Daedalus and Icarus. At this level, students will also read adapted versions of myths from Ovid, such as the story of Pygmalion and Europa, reinforcing their grammatical knowledge through engaging narratives.
