Familia Romana Chapters 27–30
Designed for students who already have a solid understanding of Latin grammar, this course deepens their exposure to complex syntactical structures. Students will continue reading Familia Romana, potentially supplemented by selections from classical authors. Topics covered include the future perfect indicative (active and passive), the present and imperfect subjunctive (active and passive), sequence of tenses, and an introduction to subordinate clauses. Students will also encounter further Ovidian myths such as the stories of Phrixus and Helle, and Alcestis, deepening their exposure to classical storytelling in Latin.
