Roma Aeterna Chapters 54–56
This course is centred on Cicero’s Pro Lege Manilia, De Re Publica, and Somnium Scipionis. Students will refine their command of Latin through the study of Heteroclitic nouns, the epexegetical genitive, and advanced syntactical structures. Lexical studies will include impersonal verbs such as interest and the usage of quaeso. Additionally, the course explores Cicero’s stylistic nuances, including the use of neuter adjectives as adverbs.
