Roma Aeterna Chapters 51–53
Focusing on Sallust’s Bellum Iugurthinum and texts by Eutropius, this online Latin course expands students’ exposure to complex syntax, including rhetorical questions, velle with the subjunctive, oportere and necesse est with the subjunctive, and the ethical dative. Special emphasis is placed on the stylistic features of Sallust’s Latin, as well as numerical adverbs and advanced locative expressions.
