Roma Aeterna Chapters 45–48
This course continues the study of Livy and introduces texts from the works of Eutropius and Aulus Gellius, offering insights into later Latin prose. Students will explore clauses of hindering, further uses of the gerund and gerundive, the supine, futurum esse ut constructions, the indicative in contrafactual conditions, and the comparative relative clause. Special attention will be given to idiomatic expressions, technical vocabulary, and indirect commands in Senate resolutions.
