Familia Romana Chapters 1–7
This online Latin course is designed for students who have had very little or no exposure to Latin. By reading Familia Romana and engaging with the teacher in Latin, students will acquire a strong foundation in basic Latin grammar and develop an elementary vocabulary. Among other topics, students will learn the first two declensions of Latin nouns (and adjectives that follow the same patterns), key pronouns (ego, sē, is, meus, quis, quī), the primary syntactic functions of cases, the use of prepositions with the accusative and ablative, the present indicative (active and passive), the present imperative (active), and basic interrogative structures (quo, ubi, unde).
